The Anaplasmosis/Babesiosis Bibliography and supplements (8 volumes) were produced by Rita Fisher, a Washington State University librarian, supported by USAID grant funding.
WSU has been a leader in tick-borne research and continues to produce high quality research in this area. Guy Palmer, Director of the School of Global Animal Health, is an international authority on Anaplasmosis. Tick-borne diseases such as Anaplasmosis and Babesiosis are public health concerns in Africa and developing countries worldwide. Parasitic and arthropod-borne diseases such as river blindness and malaria are major zoonotic conerns. In the U.S., Lyme Disease and toxoplasmosis are also public health concerns.
