Trojan Nuclear Power Plant was a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant located southeast of Rainier , Oregon , United States , and the only commercial nuclear power plant to be built in Oregon . Decommissioning and demolition of the plant began in 1993 and was completed in 2006 . While operating , Trojan represented more than 12% of the electrical generation capacity of Oregon . These photographs are part of the Onsdorff family archives . Peter Onsdorff was a Battle Ground homesteader and business owner , running the Onsdorff Store and offering buggy rentals . The Onsdorff family was involved in Battle Ground schools and churches . Family members include Peter Onsdorff , Ida Sophia Junel Brown Onsdorff , Sheldon Onsdorff (m . Catherine) and his daughter Jane Onsdorff Johnson Malmquist , Thomas Onsdorff , and Elena Onsdorff .

Original images were scanned as 600 dpi TIFF files on a Microtek 9600XL scanner. 100 dpi JPEG files were then added to the CONTENT database at the WSU Libraries.
