Northern Line Adds To Service--
Increase in the service of the
Alaska Steamship Company to two
sailings a week will become effective Wednesday, March 24, with
the departure of the steamship
Baranof for ports of call in Southeastern and Southwestern Alaska.
Extensive alterations have been
made aboard the Baranof to prepare the vessel for a busy spring
and summer in the northern
routes. Twenty-two staterooms,
including six of the de luxe class,
have been built and other improvements made.
The steamship Yukon will make
the sailing of the Alaska Steamship Company Saturday morning at
9 o'clock for Southeastern and
Southwestern Alaska. This vessel
on each of her voyages will connect at Cordova with the steamship Curacao for Seldovia, Kodiak
and way ports. In April the sailings of this company will be increased to three a week.
