FAIRBANKS, Alaska, April 6. (AP)
—In a land famous for its wild life,
sportsmen planned today to import
game birds and animals from Scandinavia, Asia and Canada.
Fairbanks rod and gun enthusiasts
organized the Tanana Valley Sportsmen's association and announced attempts would be made to introduce
new species into the territory.
Jack Warren, president, said the
club would investigate the feasibility
of stocking the region with giant
Scandinavian woodcock, pheasants
from northern Asia and elk and
white-tailed deer from Canada and
the United States.
