CITY TAX LEVY IS CUT;
WPA TENDERS ARE MET
PALOUSE, Wash.. Oct. 9.—A decrease of half a mill in taxation has
been made by the city council in passing the 1936 budget. The total levy
is 16 V2 mills.
Funds were set aside to take care
of any expense in connection with
WPA projects the first of which have
been approved including street and
road work repairs on the city park
and work on the high school athletic
field.
Another project, erection of an addition to the city hall to house the
fire department, has not yet been
approved.
