ANNUAL DINNER CHAMBER EVENT
Boasts, Toasts and Dancing Are Features of Program—Band From Pullman Plays.

Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Dial Celebrate Golden Wedding—Malcolm Rossman Is Benedict.
PALOUSE, Wash., April 11 -- Boasts, toasts and dancing featured the annual banquet of the chamber of commerce in the high school here
last evening. About 94 members and guests attended.
Joseph Stover, superintendent of schools, was toastmaster. Among those who spoke were John Pemberton, editor of the Palouse Republic,
who gave a review of the year's minutes; G. D. Kincaid, Bernice West, president of the chamber; R. W. Wallace, R. O. Barton and J. D. Lewis
of the Colfax Chamber of Commerce.
On the entertainment program was Mrs. Ella Buchanan, Pullman, vocalist; David Hopkins and his band, Pullman, and "Prince Ali Bendo," who
read secret thoughts of those present The committee in charge included Chairman William Jessett, G. C. Royer and Dr. J. D. Barton.
Observe Golden Wedding.
Married 50 years, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Dial, who live on their ranch northeast of here, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a family reunion and party Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dial, who were married at Manhattan, Kan., in 1884 have lived near here many years They are parents of 14 children, nine of them living and eight of whom at tended.
Following a noon banquet, an after noon of music and reminiscences was enjoyed. In the evening about 4 friends called to congratulate the
couple. The occasion was enlivened by the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Dial, Bend, Ore., son and daughter in-law of,Mr. and Mrs. Dial. The
were married April 7.
Highway Engineer Weds.
Word of the marriage of Malcolm Rossman, Palouse, and Miss Betty L. Base, at Caldwell, Idaho, last Thurs day was received here today. Both
are graduates of the University of Washington. They will live at Davenport, Wash., where Mr. Rossman is a state road engineer.
