Management Encounters No
Trouble Today As It Defies Strikers.
Declaring they were pursued
by two men in a car who attempted to pull them from
their trucks, two drivers from
Crescent Cleaners appeared at
police station this afternoon to
seek police protection.

Sprague, reopened for business today in the face of pickets who
have been patrolling the plant
since it closed two months ago
when a laundry strike was called.
A police squad was sent to the
cleaning plant by Police Chief Ira
Martin when he learned that the
plant was reopening this morning.
No trouble was reported.
The laundry union headquarters
stated that the number of pickets
at the City Dye Works had not
been increased. Few customers
passed the picket line to enter the
plant, the pickets reported.
The management of the Dye
Works said the plant was open for
"cash and carry business."
The City Dye Works is the
second struck plant to reopen, with
this policy. The Crescent Cleaners
reopened last Monday. There was
