35 Dine at Gala Event of Sorority
The Spokane alumna group of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority enjoyed a gala event last night at their founders' day banquet at the Terrace
tearooms. Sharing in the festivities were several persons from outside points, including Pullman and Wilbur. Mrs. De Wayne Johnson, retiring president, presided over the annual business meeting, when officers for the coming year were elected.
Mrs. Clarence Livingston is the newly elected president, succeeding Mrs. Johnson. Others of the new officers: Miss Kathleen Ford, vice president; Mrs. Hilmer Axling, secretary; Miss Dorothy Lois Smith, treasurer, and Mrs. W.. W. Pierson, editor. Miss Franc Mason is publicity chairman.
Committee chairmen Include Mrs Axling, telephone, Mrs. Warren W. Walker, ways and means, and Mrs. Edward Allen, yearbook.
Mrs. Pierson was elected the chapter's delegate to the International convention, to be held at Quebec in July.

There were covers for 35 at the banquet. The sorority colors, red, buff and green, were attractive in the decorations.
Alpha Gamma Deltas from out of the city attending, were Mrs. Al Geib of Wilbur; Miss Estelle Caulkins, Oregon State college; Mrs. Ellen Bakke
and Miss Shirley Smith of Bullman, Miss Grace Lee Burnette, U. C. L. A., and Mrs. Lawrence Dash of Lyman.
