Mrs. Dorthy Hutchison Moore, Washington State Graduate, Named National President at Convention
Selecting the outstanding women in
the fields of literature, journalism, art,
music and dramatics, the local chapter
of the national Eurodelphian literary
'society recently elected 12 pledges.
Candidates are considered according
to their abilities and recommendations
i by the heads of their departments'. The
purpose of the organization is to recognize special talents and to create
further interest in these fields.
The new pledges are as follows: literature, Mary Doolittle, Marian Doo-
|little and Lucile Satterlee; music, Betty Henley, Pearl Barton, Alice Norum
and Josephine Simas; speech, Anna
Jane Wickstrand, Flora Bartmess and
Marjorie Persons; art, Beth Buchanan
and Ella Starr.
Graduate National President
Mrs. Dorothy Hutchison Moore,
who graduated from Washington State
college in 1927; was recently elected
national president at the convention
last fall at Kansas State college, Manhattan, Kansas. Catherine Clancy,
president of the local chapter, was the
official representative at the conference.
