HEARING TESTS COMPLETED
Spokane Organization Serves Schools
—Work Opening Up.
PULLMAN, Wash., March 29.—
Frank M. Hall, Spokane, representing
the Spokane branch, Royal Knights of
the Round Table, yesterday completed
hearing tests in the schools here,
using an auditometer, purchased by
the Spokane group several years ago.
Mrs. Audrey Sanger, school health
nurse, assisted.
All activities of the civil works administration in Whitman county
ceased tonight when laborers and administrative employees, exclusive of
the auditing department, completed
their duties. The auditing department
will complete and close the records for
about 250 men.
"Work opportunities are opening up
so rapidly that unemployment should
cease to be the distressing problem,
that it has been," said L. O. Howard,
county civil works administrator.
