Propose Law for Purifying State
A plan which is expected to eventually make Washington air, ground and water pure has been proposed to the state planning council. Under the plan as drafted by Professor R. G. Tyler of the University of Washington a committee would work toward elimination of all factors of impurity. Citizens would be permitted to complain to the committee about impure air, water, or other pollution. The committee would then seek to eliminate the faults.
The committee would also have power to conduct research in an effort to find ways and means to decrease contamination and to make use of industrial waste, or to effect its control. The committee would be formed from the various state departments of health, game, fisheries, agriculture, etc.
