United States Flight Squadrons Chart Route To Alaska.
The army and navy each are sending a squadron of planes to Alaska to chart the quickest route. The
army squadron will start from Washington, D. C, on its flight to Fairbanks. The navy will take off from
San Diego and hop to Dutch Harbor. The map shows both routes. Alaska has been mentioned as the third
angle In America's defense triangle in the Pacific, the two other points being the Panama canal and the
Hawaiian islands, which the president is visiting on his cruise.
