Flames Raze Adjacent Big Plants on Kvichak River as Salmon Packing Starts; Meager Details Given.
Fire early today destroyed two Alaska salmon canneries owned by the Bristol Bay Packing Company of San Francisco, with a loss estimated at $1,000,000, according to word received by Seattle salmon packing firms.
The two plants were situated on the Kvichak River and, were about 300 feet apart. The earn.cries were handling the first of the season's
