Territories Offer Election Problems
WASHINGTON, Jan. 24. (/P)— Alaskan fogs and Hawaiian music probably won't cause most congressmen any trouble in their forthcoming election campaigns— but they present real problems to the two delegates from those territories.
Delegate Dimond of Alaska has to rely largely on airplanes to get him to political rallies. "Pea soup" fogs sometimes force down his craft
in isolated regions.
Delegate King of Hawaii doesn't face the same electioneering rigors as his Alaskan colleague, but he frequently has to take a native Hawaiian orchestra on his speech making visits to the islands in his district.
