Would repeal act. Disabled veterans want benefits restored.
Mar. 12. <ap>.—C. S. Halvorson of Bremerton, Wash.,
district national committeeman for
disabled veterans of the World
war, urged today repeal of the
national economy act in the interests of the nation's maimed
soldiers.
Halvorson voiced his views to
the press before he called to order the two-day convention of
disabled veterans from Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
"One of the main objectives of
our organization at this time,"
Halvorson said, "is to obtain repeal of the national economy act
so that compensation for service-
connected cases will be restored
to its original level."
