Bruno Prints Not On ladder. The
fingerprints of Bnhio Hauptmann
wei-e not among those found on the
ladder used in the kidnaping of
the Lindbergh baby, Dr. Hudson, criminologist, said today.
Dr. Hudson, who developed sev-
oral hundred prints on the ladder
by chemical means after New Jersey state police had failed by the
powder method, said:
"It is my definite understanding
that Hauptmann's fingerprints
were not on the ladder."
Asked whether the kidnaper
could have concealed his fingerprints by gloves, Dr. Hudson said:
"I think it highly improbable
that he, if he built the ladder, as
alleged, would have worn gloves
during the entire six months that
the rickety contrivance was supposed to have been in his posses-
