OBITUARY
IRVING S. GLEASON
Irving S. Gleason was born April 7, 1884 in Woster, Mass. He was educated in Massachusetts and came west in 1909, settling on the Highlands here. Shortly afterwards he moved to town and in 1912 was married to Elizabeth Campbell.
Mr. Gleason was very active in community affairs, being owner and manager of the Gleason Fruit & Produce Company, served two terms
as city councilman, was a member of the chamber of commerce and of the Woodmen of the World. He was very much intersted in sports, especially those of the local high school. He passed away Monday, January 18 at the Virginia-Mason hospital in Seattle, following a several months' illness.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Miller of Sandpoint, Idaho and Marian of Yakima; his mother, Mrs. Martha Gleason of Manchester, Conn; four sisters, Mrs. Voiney Morey of Manchester; Mrs. James A. Lowell of Amherst, Mass.; Mrs. of Elmwood, Conn, and Mrs. Robert Cowan of Woster, Mass; two brokers, Elmer of Cincinatti, Ohio and Walter of Winchester, Mass.
Funeral services were held from the Mueller Funeral Home this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in the Riverview Heights cemetery.
