SPOKANE BRIDGE PIONEER IS DEAD
Hickey Homesteaded in Valley 30 Years Ago— No Survivors Known.
M. A. Hickey, who came to the Spokane valley 30 years ago and homesteaded south of Spokane Bridge, died Saturday at Sacred Heart hospital following a stroke of paralysis.
Mr. Hickey had been in failing health for three years and a month ago was injured in an automobile accident. He was 77 years of age. No surviving relatives are known.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant View church at Spokane Bridge, with Hazen & Jaeger's in charge. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery.
