DR. M'CAULEY RITES TUESDAY
Former State Senator Had Led Active, Public Life.
The funeral for Dr. J. C. McCauley, state senator from Kittitas and Chelan counties, who died Saturday will be held from the Masonic temple Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. The Rose Croix service of Scottish Rite Masonry will be used, with the Rev. Clarence Kop, rector of Grace Episcopal church, as the minister.
Senator McCauley had been state senator eight years, served three years as mayor, five as city councilman, was chairman of the Fourth congressional district draft board during the war, was a delegate to the republican national convention in 1908 and has been active in community life and in republican politics.
He had been a resident of Ellensburg since 1889. He practiced medicine one year in Seattle and several years in the Willamette valley in Oregon after graduating from Willamette university in 1885.
