DAVENPORT, Wash., July 1.—Mrs.
Mary Charles, 76 died at her home
here yesterday, of heart disease. The
funeral will be held from the Daven-
port Presbyterian church Thursday
at 1:30 p. m. and interment will be
in Riverside Park cemetery, Spokane.
Mrs. Charles, a native of Sweden,
came to the United States while a
young woman and was married to
Andrew Charles March 30, 1885 at
Minneapolis, Minn. She came west
to Spokane Falls with him in the
spring of 1887. Mr. Charles has been
dead some years. Mrs. Charles had
lived here about five years. She is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. A. M.
Cope Spokane, and Mrs. Ada Bayless,
Davenport, and one son, A. L.
Charles, Davenport.
