CALLED BY DEATH
COEUR D'ALENE, Oct. 9.—(Special.) Charles A. McDonald, 57, veteran sheriff of Kootenai county,
died at his home here this morning

Rathdrum. He served as a deputy

for a two-year term. He was serving
his fourth term as sheriff, being
elected the second time in the fall
of 1926. He was reelected in 1928
and 1930.
Mr. McDonald was a member of the Scottish Rite Masons, the Elks, and the Knights of Pythias. He also was a member of the Northwest
Sheriffs' association and the Eastern Washington Sheriffs' association.
