MRS. M'MICHAEL DIES AT SPANGLE
Had Lived There 53 Years— Funeral Services at Spokane Tuesday.
SPANGLE, Wash., April 19.—Mrs. Margaret E. McMichael, 85, died here yesterday at the home of her son, A. E. McMichael, following an illness of
two years. Funeral services will be held at Smith & Co.'s, Spokane, 2 p.m. Tuesday, burial in the Spangle cemetery.
Mrs. McMichael was born in Missouri and crossed the plains in 1852.
Her mother died on the trip.
She was married to A. D. McMichael at Albany, Ore., in 1865.
They came to Spangle in the fall of
1878. Mrs. McMichart was a charter
member of the Spangle Baptist
church (the first Baptist church to
be organized north of the Snake
river). She is survived by two sons,
Amos E.. of Spangle, and John, of
Colbert, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
