ADOLPH MUNTER DIES OF INJURY
Prominent Attorney Was Too Old to Survive Thigh Fracture.
Funeral services for Adolph Muster, who died yesterday morning at Sacred Heart hospital, await arrival of daughters living out of town and work from a son in New York, who will come if possible.
Mr. Munter, pioneer Spokane attorney, died as the result of shock due to a fall three weeks ago. Because of his advanced age, an injury that would have otherwise healed in months cost him his life.
Born in Germany.
Born at Pinne, Germany, in June, 1852, Mr. Munter was educated in Germany and became a merchant before taking up law. He came to the United States in August, 1869, settling at Montgomery, Ala., residing in that state until 1884, when he came to Spokane.
From 1884 to 1886 he was a justice of the peace and from 1888 to 1890 was referee in bankruptcy. He was one of 15 freeholders who in 1890 framed the city charter.
Mr. Munter was chairman, in 1910, of the charter revision committee, which advocated adoption of the commission form of government. He also was on the executive committee of the society for social and moral hygiene.
