Jamieson Drug
Denied Injunction
The Jamieson Drug Stores, Inc.,
formally was denied a temporary
anti-picketing injunction against
the Warehousemen & Cereal
Workers' Union by Superior Judge
Roscoe R. Smith yesterday.
The drug firm in applying for
the injunction charged union
agents, with whom the firm said
it had no dispute, picketed the
company's store at 4759 University Way. The judge indicated
after arguments were heard last
Tuesday that he would deny the
injunction, but delayed action to
give Miss Mary H. Alvord, company attorney, time to petition
the State Supreme Court for a
mandate.
Miss Alvord renewed her arguments yesterday but when she announced she had not applied to
the higher court the injunction denied.
