This oral 1 ew with Mrs. Helen Hopkins April 3, 1990 was taped at her residence at 3910 Lakeview, Lewiston, ID 83501. The interview was given to Liza Rognas (2338 14th Lewis , ID 83501) in kind cooperation for completion of a history oject professor Sue and It is intended to be part of the WSU Women's Oral History Project. Description | 62 minute oral history with Helen Hopkins, conducted for a Women in the West (HST 398) course at Washington State University. She discusses her early years living with her family, and young adult life before marriage. She was a housewife who supported her husband and took care of her child, her small family moved around a lot due to her husband's job. She talks about being part of the middle class during the depression. She discusses leisure activities of volunteering, dancing, etiquette and traveling around with family. |
