Description | 64 minute oral history with Mary Howard, conducted for a Women in the West (HIST 398 course at Washington State University). She talks about being raised on a citrus farm and working with her father. She describes the racial, and class segregation she saw in Phoenix, particularly within the schools. She quit high school, went to business college, then began working at a telephone company. She talks about working as a woman in Spokane, Washington during World War II. She discusses her marriages and raising five children. |

Print documents were scanned to pdf format using a Xerox Workcentre 5030 copier/scanner. |
