Description | Faculty history of the origins and development of the Fine Arts at WSU was compiled for the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of Washington State University in 1965. This history covers mostly the period 1920 to 1947, though there are elements that preceded and follow those dates. The document contains biographical information on faculty members as well as a historical narrative of the development of the department. The author, Worth Dickman Griffin, served as professor of Fine Arts at WSU beginning in 1924 until his retirement in 1958 and he served as head of the department from 1930 to 1950. |
