Description | 118 minute oral history interview with former Washington State UNiversity President C. Clement French. The interview includes French's biography, his philosophy of administration and administrative duties prior to WSU. French describes his first visit to Pullman in 1952, his professional career at WSU, 1952-1966, his role in creating the Council of Presidents of Washington Colleges and Universities and in the formation of Evergreen State College. French outlines his philosophy and goals for administering WSU, the growth of college programs and of the campus, and the restoration of WSU to the Pacific-10 Athletic Conference. |
