Master Clock |
Title Caption |
The time standard for the regulation of generator speed is a master clock in the control room of the left powerhouse. The block is driven by energy from a storage battery. A feeble pulsating electric current, generated by a 60-cycle tuning fork, and amplified by vacuum tubes, supplies the clock motor with accurately timed impulses from the storage battery, and thus determines the lock speed. Clock speed controls are shown. |

Digitization |
Original photographic prints scanned at 24 bit color, with 4000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then batch translated into JPEG files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries. |
