Description
An image of the corner of Stimson Hall looking south at a shabby residence . Trash and used lumber lie strewn about in the yard of the homesteads . In the right background , the Pullman hills are free of any visible development . Designed by Rudolph Weaver in 1923 , Stimson Hall is the oldest extant men's dormitory on campus . Named for Regent Fred S . Stimson , the dormitory is a mixture of the Colonial and Renaissance Revival Styles . Briefly closed in 1983 for renovation , plans to convert the building to office space were abandoned , and it was restored to use as a men's dormitory .
