Indian bigamist granted divorce. - Mary Abraham To To relates alleged cruelties of tribal husband. - The marital troubles of an Indian girl, who, when only 17 years old, was forced to marry, according to tribal custom, was told by Mary Abraham To To in divorce court yesterday. She married Stanislaus To To, a Coeur d'Alene Indian, in 1913, and she said she endured his abuses for three year, when, she said, she quit him. He had beaten, choken, kicked and cursed her at one time took a shot at her with a revolver, she testified. A decree was granted by Judge Witt. |
