Description |
Recall old days in young Spokane Christian and Reed compare notes-both residents here 50 years . In the days when jack rabbits played hide and seek on Riverside avenue, and cries of near-by coyotes mingled with the roar of Spokane falls A. L. Christian, W1519 Broadway, traded a smart span of horses for the site on which the Davenport hotel now stands, and wondered if he had made a safe investment. He sold out two years later, in 1884, for $750, at a nice profit. The last time the property was sold it brought more than 150 times that amount, he said. |
