Description |
He had faith in future growth and prosperity of Spokane - James N. Glover, known as the "Father of Spokane" for his faith in the eventual growth of the waterside village of his day to metwopolitan character, is pictured here in two characteristic poses. At the left, he is shown as he appeared about the turn of the century, and at the right, about 10 or 15 years previous, with flowing beard and mustaches. Mr. Glover, now deceased, will be recalled today by many old residents of Spokane, today being the 100th anniversary of his birth. |
