Description |
"Yersir, came all way from Seattle; it is the longest trip I ever took" C. C. Simmons, aged 75, here with wife after hard trip. "Grandpa" C. C. Simmons, aged 75, who claims to be the first white child born west of the Columbia, arrived here Monday with Mrs. Simmons after the longest journey which the aged pioneer ever attempted. The "long" train ride brought reminiscences of another unique trip in the life of Mr. and Mrs. Simmons. |
