$13,000,000 not enough for dam. - More will be needed before end of June, 1939, says Banks. - "The appropriation of $13,000,000, now before Congress for Grand Coulee dam, is only about a third of what is really needed to carry on the work called for in the specifications of the new contract by the end of June next year." Frank A. Banks, chief engineer of the Bureau of Reclamation in charge of construction, stated today. |
