Tests are good in Independence - larger stringer assays 19.6 ounces in silver, 9.8 per cent lead - Assays of average samples of the ore recently exposed by a crosscut fromt eh main tunnel in a southerly direction in the Independence Lead Mine are said to have revealed gratifying results. The No. 1 sample, secured from teh larger stringer, gave a return of 19.6 ounces of silver and 9.8 per cent lead and the No. 2 sample taken from the second stringer, contained a value of 10.4 silver and 4.2 per cent lead. |
