Help run drift on atlas - Coeur d'Alene lead levies half-cent assessment - The Coeur d'Alene Lead Mines, which owns 25 per cent of the Atlas mining company, has levied an assessment of half a cent a share, payable on or before August 18, to defray its part in the expense of advancing a drift on the Carbonate Hill vein, according to John E. Hoppe, secretary-treasurer. The number of shares affected by the levy is 3,606,000. The tunnel has been run 600 feet. An extension of 3000 feet will bring it under th workings of the Carbonate Hill at a point where ore was developed, he stated. |
