Superior, Mont., sees bug 1921 mining boom - mineral county, smallest in state, is naturally wealthy in resources - Superior, county seat of Mineral county, Montana, is situated on the Clarks fork of the Columbia river, has an estimated population of 450 and is geographicall about the center of the county. Mineral county was created in August, 1914, from the western portion of Missoula county, and is bounded on the west by Idaho. It contains a large portion of the Bitter Root mountains which are divided for a distance of over 80 miles by a beautiful valley rich in agricultural land. In some sections this valley widens into a farming district, and through the center flows the rapid Clarks Fork river. |
