Fine Hecla plant rises from blackened embers - reconstruction of surface buildings proceeds swiftly- all new work of concrete and steel- dividends of great producer for 1923 total $1,150,000 despite shutdown since July 13- erect large steel gallows frame - Early in 1924 the Hecla Mining company expects to resume operations after a shutdown caused by the disastrous fire at Burke July 13 last. While not a pound of ore has been produced since the fire, the Hecla brought its 1923 dividends to $1,150,000 by announcing that on December 15 a disbursement of 25 cents a share would be made to stockholders of record December 1. |
