Notables attending convention - Big men in the mining industry are attendign the convention this week from far-off states and from near-by points. In this picture on the left is D. D. Muir Jr. of Salt Lake, vice president and general manager of the United States Smelter, Refining and Mining company, one of teh great smelter concerns of America. In the center is James F. McCarthy, persident and general manager of the Hecla Mining company of Wallace, one of the great corporations of Idaho. D. D. Moffatt, on the right, also of Salt Lake, is assistant general manager of teh Utah Copper company, one of the big copper companyies in the country. |
