Developing deeper, paying for it out of ore profit . Golconda competes first step in $200,000 expansion expasion program having for objective 2000 level and lasting mine production. Two years ago a prospect in the Coeur d'Alenes with an indifferent outlook, operations having been abandoned by its former owners, the Golconda Lead Mines, now is engaged in a $200,000 development program, paying for it out of earnings, and the first step in this schedule of expansion, the raising out from the 1400 to the 1000-foot level has been completed. The cutting of a station at the point where the raise holed through is now under way. |
