Starting 200-foot shaft. - Southern to drift on wide body at new depth. - The shaft of the Southern Gold has been completed from the surface to the tunnel, 50 feet apart, and is about the descend 200 feet from the tunnel into unpenetrated depths, where drifting will be started, H. W. Ingalls, president, reports from Edgefield, S. C., to stockholders, nearly all of whom live here and in the Coeur d'Alenes. |
