Aurora tunnel speeds to vein . Completion in six weeks expected-gains depth on long fissure. The working tunnel started recently by the Aurora Mining company, three miles north of the Dayrock mine in the Coeur d'Algene region of Idaho, has attained the 230-foot point from the portal and a depth of 230 feet from the surface, C.E. Biggs, president, reports. The contractor, Sam Linn, is pulling eight feet daily while driving on a two-shift basis. About foot for foot is being gained in depth. Several stringers of mineralized quartz have been cut. |
