Great ore body in Independence - vein eight feet wide on three levels - contains galena only, is report - valuation of $2,000,000 - nothing in sight a year ago- mine may rival Minnie Moore in output - Galena ore in a body of unusual width has been struck at a new depth in the Independence mine of the Federal Mining & Smelting company near Hailey, Idaho, according to a report from the field. The scene of the strike is believed to be the 600-foot level, which was started after acquisition of the mine by the Federal company in October last. |
