Strike riches in Heinze mine - two and a half feet of gray copper reported by manager of Paragon - best found in Stevens - value of $300 to ton estimated Butte miner missed by two feet - "The Melrose Mining company, operating on teh Paragon group, two and one-half miles south of Boundary, has struck five feet of rich ore at a depth of 650 feet" said Samuel Edelstein, secretary-treasurer, yesterday. "Half of this contains gray copper, valued at $300 a ton by Oscar M. Mathews, manager. I have never heard of richer ore in a body of this width in Stevens county. |
