New promise in Ajax mine . Two feet of lead ore reported in six-foot vein on deep level. After year of search. Engineer found conditions, last Sunday, that encourage expectation of a shoot. Two feet of good milling ore has been struck on the lowest level in the property of the Ajax Mining company at Burke, Idaho, according to J.A. Havighorst, secretary-treasurer, and M.J. Kalez, a director. It lies in a vein six or seven feet wide that has improved in metallic content steadily in several recent days of drifting, according to a report from the mine last night. |
