Zinc ore found at slate creek. |
Description |
Zinc ore found at slate creek. - Lies under the lead which had been regarded as the only metal of the area. - No zinc was encountered in prospecting the Slate creek area of the Metaline district, begun last fall and resumed late this spring. Its absence was so impressive that the area, which is near the international line, came to be called and regarded as one of lead only of which there are indications of important quantities. |
