$500 ore struck near Elk City |
Description |
$500 ore struck near Elk City . Six-inch streak in Idaho-Nevada often runs $1000 to ton, says operator. One to 3 feet shipped. Rejected ore runs $50 to $100-discovery confirms theory of manager Kleesattel. A 10-ton sample of the ore he struck in the property of the Idaho Nevada Consolidated Gold Mines company in the Elk City district of Idaho, was brought to the Bunker hill smelter at Kellogg, Idaho, last week by Richard Kleesattel, general manager, and a mining engineer. The values were in gold and silver and the trial run was satisfactory, he stated at the Davenport. He exhibited specimens, taken at a depth of 300 feet, that are rich, according to others. |
