Description |
Gnome gold ore 30 inches wide - averages $350 a ton, says official- another strike 550 feet ahead - The response of high grade ore continues in the Gnome Gold mine, near Orogrande, Idaho, as drifting proceeds on the No. 5 level. The last report, made a few days ago, and received by R. P. Woodworth, a director in the Spokane office, tells of an ore width of 30 inches or more, that contains an average of 10 ounces of gold to the ton. It has been followed 41 feet to the 245-foot point, the distance from the shaft. The ore is heavy with sulphide and contains a large percentage of galena. Back of it is ore of milling and lower shipping grades. |
