$3 gold to man near Columbia - daily average of seven men with dry land dredge for two months, says Angle - Plum, Peach also good - many places along river where skill and equipment will win wages, says miner - Still taking out an average of $3 worth of gold a day to the man is James E. Angle, a mine operator of Keller, Washington, in operations on a bench in Lincoln county opposite a point on the Columbia river where the San Poil river enters. He has been doing this since March 15 with seven men, a dry land dredge of his own design and a pump on a barge that lifts water 80 feet above the low water level. |
